Jamila moved northern Virginia six years ago shortly after she finished her bachelor’s degree in community health from SUNY Potsdam. She began working at William Jeffrey’s Tavern and quickly worked her way up to assistant manager there for four years.

“I’ve always enjoyed interacting with new people and helping improve the work environment”, she says.

Jamila lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, son, and daughter. On her off days, she enjoys going to their lake house at Lake Anna where they spend the day on the boat. She also enjoys taking day trips with her family to neighboring cities to check out new places. Her husband is a chef and both have a love for great food.
